LOVE those cephs... gorgeous!

you have very nice pottery as well!

Now those plants definitely have the 'wow factor'!

Abso-freaking-lutely BEAUTIFUL plants those are!

The cephs get the gold though!

Very nice.
Is that Drosera regia in the back right corner of the tank?

AMAZING! Wow am I ever envious! Yes the Cephs are gorgeous but I'm totally inlove with the VFT's! Beautiful! :hail:

Thanks all for the kind words!
All the plants I have in my collection are potted in nice ceramic pots I go hunting for all over, the plastic pots are for proppin. Thanks for the compliment Moonflower.
Thanks Jimscott, your plants are wow too and you don't even need any fancy pots either!
Glad ya liked the Ceph's Chrono, took em awhile to get like that!
Repotted em recently to give em a bigger home to grow.
And yep El Gecko, that is a Regia in the corner with the 'Big Easy' just to it's left.
The Regia's bouncin back after repottin & takin root cuttings...
Glad ya liked the Flytraps too Traper! They're easily overlooked cause who don't have em, but they're still one of my favorite CP's!

Even though VFT's are so common, they're still my fav :)

Awesome Cephs!
 How old are your VFTs?

Complicated answer....
Youngest in my care are 2 yrs and the oldest are 4.
Collected Flytraps from Supermarket rescues saying "hey, it's dead. Why don't you just give it to me?" to a souvenier at the NYBG to a vendor purchase as a clump... and, of course a Home Depot purchase.
Pulled em all apart early last year and potted up the big pieces in the big pot and the little pieces in the little pot.
They grew great last season & I'm lookin' forward to what they do this one!
Really do find different cultivars that way.... I think even the mythical Home Depot B-52 is true. (well, maybe the Big Mouth cultivar)

Your plants are just beautiful!! Those flytraps look so good it makes you want to eat them.

But they'd probably be kinda prickly.

  • #12
Very nice, they look so healthy.

Thanks Dave! That's the best compliment a grower could get.
And thanks PAK, but please don't eat my plants.. :p

amazing plants u got there...wow! the ceph is mesmorizing.

  • #15
can u please post how to grow the ceph? They seem to be slower than anything I have seen. And if your ceph pitchers dry up....do u cut them or leave them like that? would leaving it make it prone to fungal attack?? thanks :)

those are breathtaking!

right now the only cp's i'm growing are vft's. about how many plants do you have in that one pot? what do you do, just put their roots together?

  • #17
Thanks! Don't know how many are in there but's there's abunch! Don't know what you mean by pitting the roots together, but there's just a buncha Flytraps planted in there with a little space in between each.
And Ceph's take a long time to grow, patience is most important with these plants...
