sororities are more or less pointless but fraternities are awesome for connections, especially in the business world. If they're not your thing, thats fine, but the only people that are anti-Greek are the ones that can't get in

I think I'm anti-fraternity, but I never cared about getting in. I would go to some of the parties and some of my best friends were Greek. I just had better things to spend my money and time on.

Gracilis....hating people who can't speak English is going to take a lot of effort.

Well I think a lot of people are anti-greek because of the stereotypes. I mean in the movies they are all stupid as hell.

Well I don't normally let my own hair get long, but like now, at college (thank god only 7 days left!) I can't go to the barbers as I wish so my hair is getting....shaggy as one could say. I'm getting it buzzed shortly.

And yes I would turn u into a bat! A slugger of a bat! :-p

I don't think that's true at all. I'm not necessarily "anti greek" because I believe anytime of "community living" experience is positive, but I definately think there are better options out there than greek life.

When I was in college I cut my hair twice a year (if not longer): winter break and summer.

oh it has NOTHING to do with getting in.... i have no desire to humiliate myself just to make friends (i have enough without looking like a fool, thanks). it has everything to do with their attitude and WAY excessive drinking habits. some are better than others (i have friends who are Greeks) but with the worst ones, their parties are dangerous, they make the weekends miserable for the rest of us (taking over bars, generally being drunken idiots all over town), and go on and have parties loud enough to disrupt those of us attempting to study in the library. don't even get me started on Bid Day, which requires that they all go singing and banging on things throughout campus all day long to collect new pledges. the urge to attack them with a Super Soaker is almost impossible to resist....

    You're just a bookworm

I think the degradation is to weed out the weak. I guess.
