    Arrrrgh!

I'm really upset! (if you hadn't noticed by the title ) There is a big debate back home (going home for summer tomorrow from college) and it involves that supposedly our septic is leaking, which it is not. Well long story short, the town went and dug up a culvert opening on the top of this little berm before the greenhouse and drive. Well, my mom came home from work and noticed it had been dug up, upon closer inspection she noticed that there was 2 of my glass containers out there that were originally in the greenhouse! One was given to my by my grandma and the other my highschool was getting rid of because it was never used, nice and graduated to mix up and dilute stuff, great for greenhouse use. Well, the town used them for something as they were both filled with muddy water and stones and such. To get these, they would have had to unlatched the door and went in MY greenhouse to obtain these, and not even be a smart "robber" and replace the borrow articles. So, now that the town, the gas station owner (complaining about leaking sewage) and my parents issue, now has involved ME. So, because i am already royally pissed I am pressing charges to whomever broke and entered in my greenhouse which had no involvement in the ordeal at all. I'm done playing games, especially with the gas station owner because I bet he had something to do with this. So, whoever fesses up and admits they broke and entered (google a definition) into my greenhouse and then STOLE my personal items for town use, will be sued. I believe in second chances, and I've given plenty, so I'm DONE now.

    Sorry for the rant....

    Any feedback is welcome!

nothing against anything you say...but i think its funny that people can be sued for anything in the US "hey you stepped on my foot!! im gonna sue you for all your worth" haha. but seriously. you have a good reason for it. do you know if your mom or dad got in and took them out? have you noticed any plants missing? i wish you luck in the...case?

Yeah, they didn't touch the rare plants but did touch some glassware? Are they stupid or something?

No my mom and dad were both at work and came home to find this.

No plants were touched/damaged but it is MY glassware. and yes you can sue for anything, at least I try to have a legit reason for suing though.

So what exactly did they use this glass stuff for? Just to hold muddy water and rocks? What is the point of that? I would think just a conversation with the people involved might go a little further with a little good faith effort and the sign of a good Samaritan or neighbor.

Sometimes it is better to try to make friends with people you don't like than to make worse enemies; especially since you all are involved in a common interest.

I'm guessing you've probably already filed a police report about breaking and entering?

it sounds to me by Nep G's description that the city itself dug up the spot and were prolly responsible for borrowing the items............borrowing without asking constitutes stealing unless prior agreements are in place......entering a building or other private property in teh process of the act is trespassing and/or breaking and entering...............from the description above it sounds to me as though its not a neighbor issue..........if it were me i would be doing the same thing he is..............though i do have an open agreement with one of my neighbors that borrowing the others items is ok aslong as a note is left and any damage incurred to the item comes out of the borrowers pocket..........kinda helps that we graduated high school together though
