Well I went to a harvet festivile thing in a indoor building that was fun then I watched my siblings when they tricker treated. I then burned some chocolate in my furnace it burns very well. Well what did you do for halloween ?

Being an old fart now (32 in a couple weeks) I just stayed home and watched comedy central on TV and listened to some audio books all day while I worked on some fantasy art statues I've been sculpting. Not very "in the spirit" activities but one of the sculpts is suitably weird for the season. Some kind of Lovecraftian horror, a half woman / half cephalopod creature I've dreamed up named D'HASTURA.

Stayed home and studied for a political science test and animal behavior quiz tomorrow...UGH!

sounds like fun! :-))

i went trick-r-treatin with my little sister...didnt ask for candy (of course!)...just took a "percentage" of hers :D...figured i dress up for the season...went as DEVO, one of my favorite 80's band...even got the hat...goood times...

Watched Hostel part II (which totally sucks. It wasn't a horror movie; it was torture porn) and totally binged on pizza.

Worked on installing a whole-house humidifier. Has nothing to do with Halloween, but quite plant-relevant. :)

Some kid walked up to me at 5pm (it wasn't even dark) while I was getting my mail (at one of those big boxes at the curb that the whole neighborhood shares) and said "trick or treat" with his bag open expectantly. Like I just carry candy around with me. He actually wanted me to go back to my house and get him some.

I should have reminded him how much it sucks that he can't just buy all the candy he wants whenever he wants. And have it for dinner too. :-P-:

From previous topic:

I had a fun nite. I had the best Halloween display I've ever done. Instead of decorating the front of the house, I decorated the side yard where my deck is with a lot of electronic wailing things, a fogger, strobe light, blue and green lighting, skeletons and tombstones. Debbie the Dead floated up in the air, shook and moaned and flashed red eyes. A friend came over and we sat on the deck and ate pizza while I gave out candy. The kids liked the decorations. They liked Ollie even better. :D

It's too bad Halloween doesn't last for a week. I love Halloween. :jester:

C'mon y'all! Where is your Halloween spirit? Its the one nite you can dress up, act goofy and spooky and not be considered a total idiot. :D

I am getting %50 from my 3 siblings :D
I was going to shoot candy 300 feet up in the air with my spud gun(very capable) for the trick or treater but none were here.... I would just use wadding then a plastic bag that is painted with glow in the dark paint.

um, lets see, i drove from eaton, ohio over to granite city, illinois, then turned around and came back to Indianapolis where i sit till my truck can get into the shop tomorrow so they can see what's wrong with it, lol!

I live by Santa Cruz. People walk around like this on a regular basis:

I went to a party dressed as a Red Sox fan. I had a tag on my back with a rather descriptive title.

Went to class, then I went to the mall to buy new shoes. Then, I stayed home and watched the Halloween movie marathon on AMC. I also did some school work... :glare:

Lessee -

Friday night I was an "actor" (Read: Zombie) in my co-worker's haunted house. He's on the PTA of this youngest daughter's elementary school. The HH was very eloborate, since special effects are one of his hobbies.

Scared the &*%! out of over 200 children that night - made at least 10 cry, and that was just me. There were two other zombies, leather face, a wraith-maniquin (hooked up to a pully system that flew over the kids....and it "screamed" through the air, which was an accident, just the wire vibrating, but was a fortunate accident as it was a creepy sound), a life size T-rex head that moved and bit at the kids (puppeteered by his oldest daughter) and a were-wolf (the guy who builds my co-workers ideas was in this costume).

That was a GREAT time.

On Wednesday, I scared the S out of several people at work, but then the evening stunk. Trick or treating was a bust - we went with our neighbors. I love them, but they are the slowest people in creation - also, my neighbors mother took a dive off a curb and broke her foot AT THE FIRST HOUSE. :censor:

End result - my daughter didn't get nearly enough candy for me to steal. :cuss:

ahh. i too, am not nearing old farted-ness. i, however, used the power of husband+DVR to record comedy central and took the 2-year old trick or treating for the very 1st time. 1st Halloween we were ultra-super-mega poor and i was scared of dropping the baby anyways. 2nd year- just lazy and didnt thik she'd enjoy it. this year:

i can't believe we had to walk so far between candy stops. it seems like a lot less people participate than when i remember being a kid. also, residences aren't as squished together in texas as they are in Japan.

That's adorable! The dead cat really completed the costume.

Dude i never realized you were in DFW...pretty lcose to me. Almost went there this wekend for a Smashing Pumpkins concert, but they "postponed" the concert until 2 sundays from now...and I think i'll have to get a refund. This is officially my SEVENTH year to try and fail to see them, though 3 don't count cuz they were broken up.

I don't have a kid...but I have this:
