I want something cheap...thats really my only requirement. Advice please?
I want it complete too....I want to plug it in or whatever and be good to go.

    What about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/AQUA-SAFE-HOME-I...QQcmdZViewItem
    Or this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/6-stage-150GPD-R...QQcmdZViewItem

What's the diff between the last link and this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/150GPD-0ppm-Reve...QQcmdZViewItem

Are you factoring in the shipping costs ($43 for the first and $36 for the others)? If you have return them you eat the shipping costs both ways unless they'll pay for return shipping.

You may as well go to Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's or Wal-Mart and get a unit for $120-150 that you can return for a full refund.

Damn if it works that's a really nice price! I got the captive purity 75 GPD unit at Marine Depot www.marinedepot.com for about $150-it was the best deal I found when I bought it. These all look really nice! I just wonder what the cost of replacing the DI is and where you get a 150 gpd replacement membrane (and how much is the membrane my 75 GPD replacement membrane is $90).

For ease of use I would get the add on faucet adapter for $5 they show in the first two ads this makes it easy to switch from water filtering to washing dishes and back to filtering water with the turn of a switch on the faucet head (you'll need a faucet with a 3/4" threadswhere you remove the original faucet aerator adapter - the head with the screen in it). I just upgraded to this type of adapter from the oldfashioned garden hose quick disconnect on my kitchen faucet. It's so nice!

Plus If you move, when using the faucet adapter there's no need to hire a plumber to install/uninstall the R/O from underneath the sink if you get the saddle valve and all that.

So I mean....what should I do lol? I'm totally in the dark about this, and I don't really have time to read hours upon hours of this stuff, then spend more hours hunting for a deal.

It says the membrane should be replaced every 2-3 years, and this is it: http://cgi.ebay.com/150-GPD-Reverse-...2em118Q2el1247

    Not too expensive.

    Billy,
    That auction is from purewaterclub.

    xvart,
yeah...there were a bunch of people on the forum so I figured someone would know. Plus, I usually think about things for like 4 weeks before buying them lol.
