Wow! That looks awesome! Like the wild wild west I have family in Fort Mohave, I don't know if that's close to you or not. Thanks for sharing!

That's not Tucson! lol Although, I wouldn't mind living there. That is awesome...I'd like to see that. Talk about "wild wild West."

I thought they started wanting a horse for their eighth birthday?
I wanted a horse since I could breathe.

Boy, those kids are growing fast! They are so cute. Look how big Caiden has gotten!

You're right, it's not! LOL I've just been told too many times over the last few years how people think I live in some old west sandy desert with horses and all that haha... The pictures above are of a place called Old Tucson (oldtucson.com) they have movies shot there and such... Like Tombostone... So we took the kids there for their first time this past week and I got this idea to post the pictures. Hope you enjoyed them anyway!! I've been there probably 8 times or so... It's always a decent time. Kinda expensive though.... *shrug*

My wife and son "driving" and old time car (note the track that keeps the car on the road... you can drive about a foot either way though)

Here is a satalite view of Old Tucson:

And here is the real Tucson:

Still not as big as some of your towns... but not some sand desolate of an area either And I bet it's bigger than Rattler's place! hehe And yeah.. we have a few hot topics

It's amazing it's so close.. and looks so different... Just on the other side of some mountains:

ROTFL. I KNEW it! I almost said something but I figured if I was wrong you would be offended. Great pics, very enjoyable thread.

Eh- not offended at all! Don't get me wrong. It's just funny that the desert of Tucson Arizona is thought to be some sandy wasteland. If I drive for ~30 miles in the other direction of Tucson (east instead of west) I can be at 8000ft up in the mountains where the days are like 75f for the high in the summer where Tucson can be 120 (been there twice in the past month LOL) here is a few pics of that...

    Riding the ski lift:

Where we ate (it was raining that day... note the fog in the back)

Here you can see some of Tucson...

It's amazing the weather difference from Tucson in the valley to just 30 miles away, half of which are up the mountain.

Wow...beautiful photos. That is neat that you have such a terrain change.

VA is sort of like that because you have flat, sandy land on the coast with the ocean and then you have the Blue Ridge mountains to the west. Hopefully soon I will be going apple picking up in the mountains.

BTW...I know where you got the name Buttercup from.

BTW...I have fluorite from Tombstone AZ and I also wrote an article on Tombstone for the rock club newsletter. It has a very interesting history.

I thought something was fishy, but I also didn't want to say anything incase I was wrong

Caiden and Laurel look identical! Except for the age difference.

    Very nice pics
    Great Googly Moogly!
