He was certainly no Ronaldo Magnus and was no leader of a conservative movement, but he did prevent the US from being attacked again for eight years. So I say: Good job! 7/10

Some might say the 9/11 attack was no more of a "surprise" attack than Pearl Harbour, which was also warned of in advance and ignored.
Allowing certain things to happen, allows certain agendas to reach fruition. Neo-Cons had an agenda of imposing democracy around the world and to that end they have followed it quite well. 9/11 was their "all access" pass to war and furthering that foreign policy agenda with almost no effort on their part.

They weren't able to set up a permanent base in Iraq which they'd had planned since before the Iraq invasion. The Green Zone was intended to be the largest US base in the Middle East, and set up as a permanent US foothold in the region but apparently Maliki isn't standing for it. The first Iraqi (Chalibi) they had put in power after Sadam, wasn't willing to play the US corporate foreign policy game either.

Yes, but it wasn't until AFTER they voted for him that they realised the grave mistake they made. As for preventing us from being attacked again for the last 8 years..any President should be able to do that. It's their job. It doesn't make him any less of a donkey's butt. What ever good came from his presidency was vastly outweighed by the bad he created. He was very, very bad for this country and the American people.

I think the families of 4000+ service personnel would beg to differ. We did not get attacked on our own soil but many Americans were targeted and killed by a terrorist group that came to being as a direct result of this presidents actions. He also failed to eliminate the group which actually carried out the attacks on 9/11, meaning we could be struck again by the exact same people who hit us last time.

That terrorist group didn't come into being because of Bush's actions - it's been around for a while and came into being for many reasons, a lot of which resulted from past American imperialism and related short-sightedness.

Well.. Bush is what happened when you choose your president on the basis of "Who'd you rather have a beer with?" (second term election) and "He looks like a modern day cowboy!" (some women from his first term election).
