Auction top bids

  • #21
Awesome! Come on everyone, just spend a bit more of your life savings! LOL.

  • #22
Awesome! So what is NASC goal for the auction?

  • #23
To buy acres of land to preserves CPs in wild like last year, I think. How many acres did NASC buy with the money we raised last year?

  • #24
oh, I know, I just meant how many acres and how much each acre costs.

  • #25
Oh. We bought about 100 acres last year, right? I don't remember.

  • #26
Last year the NASC donated to the Splinter Hill Bog project that can be read about here.

This year, the NASC will be donating to The Nature Conservancy at the Myrtle Head Savanna. You can read more about the savanna and the donation in the newsletter (see general discussions forum for the thread.) The donation will be given in the form of a grant so they can use the money specifically for burn maintenance at the specific site.

Well the total went up to $3721.50!

  • #28
Someone bid $0.50? I thought people could only bid whole dollars?

  • #29
Huh, I didn't see that, Moo. Who bid with cents?

  • #30
It was a bid for 18.50...

  • #31
Well, it's an invalid bid, then. :x

  • #32
wait, you can't bid any cents? Even if you added 2.50 cents to the last bid?

  • #33
Correct, Ant. We deal in whole-dollar amounts.

  • #34
The 50-cent bid has been corrected. I dropped the bid to the lower $18 whole increment.
