A high five goes out to anyone that can properly identify the aircraft. (Yes, I know what they are.)

Wow that's some condo! If only mine could fly!:D

Is that the experimental presidential Airforce One plane?

What's that tremendous explosion?

Woops, I'll make that label a little more precise. lol

Nope, not experimental, it's an active duty transport. The rotors tilt up like this when landing and tilt forward in mid flight for speed.

The explosion was pyrotechnics for the airshow; the heat and pounding was amazing even from that distance.

amazing :|
i love the P51 flying above with the F22, and the close up shot of the thrust vectoring nozzles....

I remember seeing a vid of those P-51 guys in an email a while back. Love that plane.

LOVE the airshow pics!

Thanks guys!

I love it too, Wurm. Probably my overall favorite plane... The sound it produces is beautiful.

I'll see if I can find a sound clip.

that would be the V-22 Osprey.....been in service since 1989....it was the first tiltrotor aircraft that was actually put into full production....there were quite a few one-offs built before it though.....its been mainly used by the Marines....

Lol, nice. I love how it changes to a picture of a pink flower, to a huge explosion.

Good job rattler. However, the Osprey's first flight was in 1989. It's only been in operation since 2005 or 6.

The P-38 is nice, but no sound comparison whatsoever.

Here some good examples of the Mustang sound. (But there still isn't anything like hearing it in real life.)

Here's the characteristic howling that I love so much (the passes after takeoff):

And here are some cool low passes:

Edit: Lol, Cap. I was waiting for someone to point that out.

it saw combat first in 2007.......they have been messing with it in non-combat rolls since the 1990's.......

as for the P51 versus the P38.....your not comparing apples to apples.......they were designed for two separate rolls though the P38 could handle itself ok in a fighter roll if pushed into it.....i personally think the P38 is a much more interesting plane.....

I really enjoyed the shots from your condo view.

Really reminds me of my vacation in Miami during spring break!

Rattler, they were both designed as fighters, used as fighter escorts on bomb missions, and used for ground attack. Not too much of a difference there. I do agree that the Lightning is a very interesting plane, though.
I was talking about the sound. The Allison engines are much quieter.

Thanks Jeff. Those are some of my favorite pictures. I just wish the one with the moon would have come out a little bit better.
