Billy, those look really weird and ridiculous...but they're probably comfortable. Lol.

    LOL "Camel Toe"...!

I like the black leather ones. Are they comfortable having the big toe separated, and what is that separate for?

The ones Billy showed with every toe separate is wild, I just wanna try them on!

The split toe is for fitting into a flip-flop style sandal (zori.) I haven't tried jika tabi before, but I used to have some tabi socks and I always liked them. It seems silly and too trivial to make a difference, but I do think that they improve posture somewhat. I have oddly-shaped feet and most shoes put my toes in a very uncomfortable position. When I had some zori-like sandals (they didn't look like cool samurai props, sadly) I noticed a big difference - enough that I wore them on many occasions when sandals weren't called for, until they fell apart. Your feet are supposed to spread out and grasp the ground - wearing shoes that bind your toes and the ball of your foot just works against the natural mechanics of your body.

I agree with not constricting your feet. I've got rather flat feet and normal shoes hurt to wear plus they're hot, so I wear sandals (not the flip flops) from april til october and my feet always happiest in those.

Sandals suck for 2 feet of snow though!

Jika-tabi are very comfortable and when you wear them, you hardly notice the split toe.

The split toe improves balance and grip, and it also improves circulation and digestion, allowing the wearer to feel more alert.
