Hi Scotty. I watch it on ESPN. It's actually pretty fun to watch. The Main winner can actually hundreds of thousands of dollars. Especially at the Bass Master classic.

Heres some vids on what great benifits can come from the one winning of a Classic. Some Anglers have become Millionaires from just this sport. Just thought this might be Interesting for any Anglers out there.

not much on watching fishing on TV unless its large fish in exotic locals........most the time i fish for walleye which is fairly boring for the most part.....but they make for darn fine eating and there can be alot of technique and finesse with it when the fishing isnt good....the big ones can be a challenge to catch reliably....

we have smallmouth bass here, fun to catch and fight alright but they are generally a by catch on our larger lake poles so its not much challenge to get them in the boat.......for fun i target northern pike......in general i pass on keeping them cause they require pretty specific care in order to taste pretty good but they are loads of fun to catch and the snot rockets can be a challenge to get in the boat.....

the toughest fighting fish pound for pound ive found locally though are the fresh water drum....ive hooked up on some 1 or 2 pounders that fought like fish 5 or 6 times heavier....

All I remember about fishing shows from my youth is Babe Winkleman. c'mon Scotty you have to remember the babe! Look here:

    Babe Winkleman VS Giant Sturgeon

He was always hawking these magic glasses that let you see the fish bite the hook.

"I'm Babe Winkleman, when I'm on the lakes all day I use my trademarked Babe Winkleman Polarizer Sunglasses. It lets you see all the action beneath the water."

I always wanted some of those. I wonder if they actually worked?

    I haven't fished in over 20 years!

depends on water conditions.......most of the lake i fish on is fairly murky so it wont matter what glasses you wear.....in some of the shallow back bays where the water is fairly clear a good pair of polarized sunglasses will make a huge difference in what yah can see......ive spotted northerns in those back water weed beds 5 or 6 foot down.....

That's what I imagined, if I can't see with goggles on under the water, how's fancy glasses gonna help any? lol

All the lakes around here are green most of the time. Due to 3M's dumping you're not even supposed to eat metro area fish more than once a week if you're in good health. The sick, old and young kids are supposed to avoid local fish altogether.

Polarized sunglasses do work. They don't let you see the bottom of the water, they reduce the glare coming off the water from the sun, which does allow you to see deeper. I can see the bottom of the river most of the time when wearing polarized sunglasses and trout fishing.
