I took this video a few minutes ago.
Cool, but it always makes me wonder, why wouldn't they adapt to chew through the pitcher with their mandibles? Seems like a good advantage to a nest if they take out both pitchers and prevent losing workers.
How did you find a pitcher that empty?
All of mine are packed so full of dead bugs that there is no room for new ones to get caught.
Careful, there might be a live wasp in there somewhere!
Wasps seem to love them.
