09 NECPS Show (finally)

It's always alotta fun and if any of you ever get the chance to check it out for yourself, you'll see!

Most of my pics are from Sunday, when it was all dark and rainy and I tried to take them when there weren't as many people to block everything.
But anyways, let's take a stroll around the show shall we?

Welcome to the show!

Almost a whole year till the next one... can't hardly wait!

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics at the Saturday-night Society Dinner, or the after-party, or the after-after-party (drinkin with the other out-of-towners in the motel parking lot?!)

But lemme tell you, it's all just too much fun!

nice show room as well any outside pic's of the place?

Thanks! It's at the Roger Williams Botanical Center in RI. Next time I'll try and get some pics of the rest of the place... if you want to see pics from the last couple of years check out the Tipitiwitchet link below. It has as many pics of 08 & 07, I still gotta load the few pics I took from 06 and I didn't get any at the 05...

Thank you for bringing this far away event to people like me who live in a desert where maybe 5 people have ever even heard of these plants let alone have them. Great pictures!

  • #11
wow great pictures ive always wanted to go to one of these

thanks for sharing
dustin

  • #12
Alrighty then! Man, those are some eye-popping plants...

  • #13
We have an orchid show but no CP show except for the few pings here and there at the orchid show but I don't count those! LOL

Do they have plant sales at the show as well?

Love that pirate skull pot with the utric in it! LOL Was it nelubifolia?

  • #14
Sure, there was quite a bit of plants sales too... pretty nice stuff but I can't say much more than that here

As for the Ultric, I'm not really sure... those are not my forte really. I dig the aquatic ones, but they're a pain to grow indoors.

  • #15
I've got to get me to one of these shows or meet-ups one of these days. That just looks like Disney Land for CP growers!

  • #16
No prob I was just curious if they had vendors - I'd be even broker than when I left the Orchid show last week! :D

  • #17
Great pictures from the show!

Love that pirate skull pot with the utric in it! LOL Was it nelubifolia?

Thanks, the plant is U. calycifida.

  • #18
Thanks, my conservatory had a miranda on display yesterday, i asked to make sure it was(what species is it?) and they opened a book and said monkey cup. i said ok. lol

  • #19
Great Pics, Matt!! I'm already starting to get excited for this year's show.

And yay, Nep hat pictures! hehe.. maybe I should make another one of those..

  • #20
Glad you guys like the pics Dave & Emily! I'm looking forward to the next show too! I won't do the booth again and I gotta fancy new camera, so I'll have more time to take pics and to just hang out and enjoy the whole thing!!
No more Society Dinners in Ghetto neighborhoods anymore either! That place looked dangerous...
