ok..this one is total 70's cheese!
but its fairly obscure these days and many people might not even know it (unless you actually lived in the 70's..you young kids might not even know this song! but cheezy 70's music is the music of my childhood..I know it all too well..

Apart from the 70's cheese, its still a quite beautiful song, and it has the sentiments (I think) you are going for..(although exactly what he means by "make it with you" is open to interpretation..

Im not sure if anyone under the age of 40 could get away with playing this song for his girlfriend though..
because it would probably result in laughter rather than romantic feelings..
    but still..its a classic..so here you go:

LOL! Butch, Disco was a part of my teen years. It was upbeat and fun, albeit lacking in lyrics. But then, it didn't matter. I've got a multi-CD set of Disco's greatest hits. I am fond of Donna Summer, but not that particular song. I can't stand slow, drippy love songs.... but play some Villlage People and KC....

For the sake of humor since we have a whole lot sappy songs on here, I'm adding a song that I in no way condone when trying to impress a girl.

Just FYI, this is possibly my least favorite AC/DC song, although I like most of their stuff.

I feel SO lucky that I basically missed out on disco!
I was 10 years old in 1979..I was *aware* of disco music of course, because it was inescapable,
but being so young, I was blissfully unaware of the dismal adult culture that actually went with Disco..

Im so grateful I wasnt in highschool, college, or in my 20's in the late 70's!

by the time I was a teenager, and was really getting into music, it was the mid-80's and thankfully disco was dead..

(although I must admit..today when a Bee Gee's song comes on the radio, I will listen to it!
because now its just fun and reminds me of being a kid..not *all* disco was terrible, but 90% of it was..)

Wes: i love the tune to that song; just not what the song is about.
Scot: You were a teen during the New Wave era. That was also a fun period.

IMO, probably the greatest love song of all time:

And since this is my Beatle's segment..
this is not a "Love Song" in the traditional sense, but it could be considered
George Harrison's love song to his Creator:

as "Monty Python" would say.... and now for something completely different

(yeah, I know.... you've prob heard it enough times already to be sick of it... but just in case )
