Some new pics. Female Truncata x Aristolochioides

Hello all. Today I was in the greenhouse taking care of the neps and decided to take some pics of this wonderful newly opened pitcher from my Female Truncata x Aristolochioides.

http://i561.photobucket.com/albums/ss58/Nepenthes101/h-21.jpg The whole plant with another 3 pitchers starting. So for a total of 6 pitchers on this plant.

Heres a new pic of my 2 most Favorite Veitchii hybrids. Nepenthes Northiana x Veitchii H/L (right) and Nepenthes Mixta x Maxima x Veitchii x Northiana x Veitchii (Left)

My Northiana x Veitchii H/L is starting to form 2 pitchers on the plant with a 3rd and 4th on the way. The 4th one is from the new leaf emerging from the center of the plant.

LOL. This plant seems to be a very fast grower. I may end up doing several cuttings by the end of this year to the beginning of next year. Thats a maybe though since I want to let her flower and make some cool new hybrids with her. I have some great Veitchii hybrids to mix with her, lol. I'm very curious to see what Truncata x Aristo x Eymae x Veitchii H/L striped would look like.

wow I'm not generally into hybrids but if this makes a giant elongated aristo thats awesome!

Does this one require the true HL conditions of aristo or is it more lenient?

Any clue how big it will eventually get? I'd imagine rather huge...

So far this hybrid seems to be heat tolerant. It grows well for me. I mist the plant several times a day with rainwater to keep it cool being that I am worried about growing it out here in Tucson AZ. When the hot summer months move in, I'm going to move it to a more shady spot in the green house. I assume once July hits, I may run into some dilemmas with this plant. I hope not though.

I'm not sure how large the pitchers will eventually get. I'm guessing large due to the Truncata influence but maybe more in the medium due to the aristo influence.

Also like to add that this plant roots very easily from cuttings. I received this Female as an un rooted cutting.

Wow. That's a great plant, Mike.

Surely not a hybrid I've come across in these forums. Very unique and very cool lookin' Mike!

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Heres a few more peristome pics of the Female Truncata x Aristo. Also when this Female Truncata x Aristo flowers, I'll be pollinating her with Spectabilis x Veitchii H/L, Northiana x Veitchii H/L, Mixta x Maxima x Veitchii x Northiana x Veitchii, Eymae x Veitchii H/L striped, and a few of my other great neps. I may even decide to pollinate her with Campanulata.

Hey Nep101,
Nice plants!
By the way, how are you feeling? Weren't you feeling like you were on deaths door a while back? :puke:
What became of things? (Apparently you are still alive!)

A lot of us were worried about you as you made it sound quite grim!
It sounded like you were at the pearly-gates... or not so pearly...

Well, do hope you are feeling better. You never let anyone know, as you said you would.
(If you did, I am sorry, I missed it.) ???

Oh well, glad you are still in the game!
...For now! :0o:

So, what was it? Nepenthe-'itis? (The condition one gets when growing too many Neps!)
:-))

Hi there. Thanks for the kind words on my plants. I've been doing better. Learning that everything is all good.

Sorry I didn't keep everyone up to date. It was just one of those things that I had to sort through my mind. Plus it would of been a mess of stuff to type. I would of ended up writing an essay explaining what was all going on, lol.

I was wondering if anyone else grew this! Mine was unhappy for a long time, so I put it outside, where it just barely survived for a long time. All of the sudden, though, it started to get happy, and it's now growing a few pitchers. It's been outdoors on my deck about 18 months now. I'll get some pics if I can - hope mine is female too!
