Wow those are HUGE pitchers! What is that - sang red or something?

  • #25
thez - it looks exactly like my sang orange, so i am gonna say that there in DaJimmer's photo is a sang orange.

  • #26
actually i bought it from a nursery as a "pink" but whatever.

  • #27
Oh yeah, it is kinda pink huh? Very nice in any case, none of my plants are that big yet because I haven't really been collecting for ... actually it's been about a year now!! :-O

Here's a new one that I just got today - N. Song of Melancholy:
PA070017.jpg

so I'm glad I decided to repot this one especially for two reasons - the previous potting mix had decomposed to slimy mud in the center of the pot, and it actually was two plants instead of one with a basal!

...the bigger from which that pitcher above came (yes, photography stand is a Heli terra :p):

...and the smaller, looking a little stunted but I assume will have a full recovery:

Menehune from front and back (and notice the two basals :boogie:):

and I repotted the other Sam plant I have too, alata variegata:

Ventricosa x Dubia!!!! That should be something else, lol. ALL your plants are looking great. Hope all those helis, etc... do well for you.

  • #37
Thanks!

Here's shots of the only pitcher on Parvana I've got at the moment - it should have a red peristome to it, but i didn't give it enough light when it was growing in (months ago actually, it's a long-laster!)

Really awesome!!!! I love neps with long lasting pitchers. Like ampullaria. Even Lowii x Truncata has very long lasting pitchers.

  • #39
Helis galore... and they all look the same to me. :p

nep101: true dat
clue: indeed, except for tatei - you can tell it apart from the rest because it's ugly

------------edit so i try not to double post---------------

ginormous briggsiana Atlanta Giant cutting (yes those are my Heli tanks behind...the cutting and pitchers are HUGE )
PA140035.jpg

and a pitcher of it
PA140031.jpg

I kept those two pitchers after I cut them off...thinking of drying them and maybe doing something with them later like people have dried eddie pitchers :p

I put all the vine cuttings in media, bagged, no rooting hormone because I heard rootone was a rooting inhibitor :-))

And here's a pitcher of the campanulata X (spectabilis X talangensis) - I hope it colors up for me in the sun!

(if there's a double, mods please remove..)
