Atlanta Botanic Gardens pics

I just dropped by the gardens yesterday - it was a bit cloudy/rainy so some aren't the best, but it was still beautiful. Enjoy!! (oh, and the sarr and vft pots are in a special back room for propagating wild plants to return back to their original habitats once they get going)

The outdoor Sarr bog...not so pretty this time a year, but they did have it labeled according to location (the 'Georgia bog' and the 'Alabama bog' etc.)

Pretty huge - there's a sort of highland area that has intermediate/highland nepenthes and those helis, there's the room that has all the sarrs/vft's some dews and those two ceph pots. There's also the orchid house that has all those massive amounts of catts and phals and paphs and stuff, and those nep ampullarias and truncatas and stuff, and there's also other tropical rooms and desert areas and stuff.

Amazing pics, especially the moss, ferns, neps, orchids, heli's etc :p

Thanks :) I took pics of staghorn ferns for you too :p
It's actually halfway cross country for me no matter where I am, but you know if I'm already on vacation I might as well spend a day to fly down and go see it. I'm glad I went for sure.

i want my room to look like that...

I do too. I'm going to string up a hammock from the gazebos in the orchid house :boogie:

Zu, I am VERY jealous!!!!
Next time I'm in Charlotte, I guess I should go there, 4 hour drive.
Where are you vacationing anyways, Zu?

Also, did they have a gift shop with Neps, Sarrs, Cephs, Etc.?

:O Wow... very cool! Hmmm, if I had the money, I would build one of these, and just live in the thick of it :) A sofa over there - a bookcase over here - a bed behind that tree fern ;) it would be awesome :D

I wonder if they ever get plants stolen from them. Beautiful pics.
