Great shots Zu! Reminds me that I need to visit the desert again soon.

Wow.. nice pics. Makes me miss the desert.. a little.

Stunning and beautiful! It makes me so nostalgic looking at these pictures. I was born in and lived in places like that til I was five. Seeing all these flowers is like, only familiar from that time period.

Awesome beetle! I just love California after there's been a bit of rainfall.

Thanks Zu. :)

S. invicta, a blister beetle of some sort and a crabspider?

Ooooooh, such prettiness for a desert. I think their beauty is really underrated, atleast, I think so. When I hear "desert" I don't think of this.
I love all the flowers and everything is just awesome.
And the hare is cute, and so is the bumblebee!

The beetle is just terrifying though :0o: The crab spider is especially so, too, because I'd be like "oooh, cute magic desert fiddler crab thing! *picks up* OHJEEZ, IT'S NOT A CRAB! *flings*:spazz:"

Nice! We don't have very many interesting plants around here. Supposedly there are lady slipper orchids in my area but I've never seen one.

Very nice, Zu, especially the purple and blue!

Thanks everyone :)

My favorite part was the fact that the cacti haven't bloomed yet so I get to go out there for cactus flowers in a month :p

Oh and that little yellow spider was living on the bush with the yellow flowers, which I thought was really interesting!

Beautifull place and great pics :)
Is that some kind of national park ?

Cool, did you see any bighorn sheep? I was hoping to find scorpions be flipping over rocks, but sadly didn't find any. Did you check out the awesome metal sculptures all around Borrego Springs?

Well I've never seen sheep out there, or scorpions, but I did see all the metal sculptures. They were on the way through some orange/lemon groves. Actually they were well hidden behind lots of happy looking plants so I didn't see as much as you have in your flickr pool. I'll definitely make it a point to go out in a month when the cacti will be blooming... and if you help me figure out where I need to be in order to see those animals, I'll try to get some pics (metal and live :-)))

Saw some small fishies but otherwise... didn't stop there too long because there were rabbits and flowers to see :p
