I take a lot of pictures of where I live and I have in the past shared them with you guys before. I just now met a really fast internet connection and so I have been able to upload many more pictures. I will update this thread throughout the seasons with pictures I feel are worth looking at of the various ecological systems that I am blessed to be able to experience.

First off - The beach:

The lowest tide of the year.

Wow, more pics! Really cool landscapes! The last pic of sphagnum looks neat, the way the green edges fade into the reds. I take it you didn't see any carnivorous plants, as you would have posted pics of them.

Amazing pics! :awesome: I love those reds in there, and the emptiness of that pond with an occasional lilypad is just breathtaking. I wish I had my very own never ending brown watered ocean. :p

Thank you! It was actually my second dead octopus that I'd found on the beach but that one was definitely the largest I've seen.

aahhh, there are some CP's! I also like that taod, too... and the salamander/fish thing. :pSorry I'm posting so much on this thread, lol.

Don't be sorry! Thanks for commenting :) I love sharing my photography with you peeps.

OH MEI LORD SEA CUCUMBERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS <3

Thank you lime!! haha I'm not a huge fan of sea cucumbers. :D But I am glad I could appease your love for them? I'll get some fresh pics this year.

Gotta love the creatures. :-D I love that last photo, it's very crisp and clear.

Quite the contrary! I just saved my carnivores for the end. I was really impressed with that patch of moss as well, I've never seen anything like it before or since.

I'm just... in awe at the sheer beauty of it all. And the delicious berries look great too!

Thank you so much for sharing!!

Beautiful, right now the only green things here are the evergreens. How many miles north of me are you again?

  • #16
Great pics of a great place, thanks for sharing. 'Round here, to find alpine meadows and sphag bogs and tundra I need to get to 9500 ft +. Strange to me to see such scenes at such low altitudes.

  • #17
love the scenery. I have been to Alaska before on a cruise

  • #18
Once again, I love your land scape photos! Really beautiful shots!

That's really sad about the construction going on... D:

I like the CP pics too. :-D
