Dicranopteris linearis....they have those in nepenthes habitats! :0o:

Wow, is that pink/purple flower a salmonberry? I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are Rubus sp. in Hawaii, they're everywhere else. But still, seems kind of weird...

You know, that was my first thought as well!

Is that a species of Rose or could it possibly be a salmonberry?

Or are Rubus actually species of Rose?

Indeed it is an endemic rubus species, Rubus hawaiiensis it is also known by its Hawaiian name akala. Huge fruit like half dollar sized. Rubus are members of the rose family
