Wow really? at this point I'm not sure what to do... I mean, I thought it was ok looking but apparently everyone's like 'wow'?
"counting the chickens before the eggs hatch"
khasiana x viking
thorelli x campanulata
campanulata x (spectabilis x talangensis)
izumiae x xtrusmadiensis
jamban & song of melancholy
I lifted up the tenuis tendril to get a shot of it vs. my puny villosa pitcher
same for the sibuyanensis x xtrusmadiensis basal in the brocchinia hechtioides pot
inermis (sorry it's blurry)
ventricosa x hamata
glabrata (THANKS JUDY!!)
and some opened stuff: spathulata x hamata
eymae x jacquelineae (it's opened up more now)
U.nelumbifolia for round two
S.minor put out a beastly pitcher
and flava's working on a tall one too... uh, I was gonna fall over so it's blurry and I don't feel like trying again
it's an ornata... that's purp montana behind it and the xUmlauftiana in the foreground
Great stuff coming along! The N. izumiae x xTrusmandiensis is going to be great!
Can't wait to see aforementioned hybrid ^
Truth as Circe. Error has transformed animals into men; is truth perhaps capable of changing man back into an animal?
So many awesome-looking pitchers still to mature. It is nice to see the S. minors, too.
A cold one that is not cold is scarcely a one at all. - SB
you got alot of good stuff about to pop ,look forward to an update
Ah - I forgot. I took some pics at work of the LL tanks - here's the first tank I had set up maybe 1/2 year ago now:
front and center the red one is peltata, behind it is hamiguitanensis, to the sides are clippy clone 2 right and U left, and back left is d.lanata and right is paradoxa
this is the newer "ICU" tank for more recent babies that needed some TLC (they're better now )
the tall one is alata variegata, back right is xClarabell (clippy x vent x (leessi)), front left is nephthys (some horrible lowland mix with campanulata at the end), and front right is clipeata x clipeata x eymae.
a month or so later, switched clarabell and nephthys to show them off better
and here's that nephthys pitcher today!
Hmm. Guess no more pics in a little while - here's some stuff I took today:
purp montana (I wanted to get a pic from the side but I just couldn't manage to bend over like I wanted to )
the U.nelumbifolia flower again. purple
platychila - staked it up some. It really needs to grow upwards and open up!
inermis with 3 pitchers at the same time!!
some unidentified pings
densiflora x robcantleyi
hamata of possible AW origins popped the 2nd pitcher
the xSong of Melancholy is getting nice colour down the side
flava's pitcher opened up but not by much. I really should repot to lfs : perlite (same with the vanilla orchid) but I just can't manage it maybe next weekend. I have a hunch it'd pitcher better that way.
The two blooms on some Phal mutt that I have. I actually bought it for a coworker that was in the hospital for some mystery cold/flu a couple years ago who ended up passing away. We never found out why, but I'm guessing pneumonia. Guy was 28! So if you get sick, go to the doctor if you feel super extra sick, and definitely don't stay through work! The plant has never grown any new leaves, but keeps blooming off the same stalk I bought it with.
thorelli x campanulata basal
the veitchii K now that the perisome's furled back as much as it's going to
izumiae x xtrusmadiensis
vft b52 doing the best of the vfts
with some wee cobras hanging out in that last pic - here's a closeup of some other little cobras poking their heads up outta that painfully aggressive tropical sphag
glabrata still hasn't opened, but hey, it's growing and inflating pitchers so who am I to complain?
and hamata x platychila with striped peristome. These colour up as they age so my wonderful stripes are short-lived.
