Whole bowl shot.. The big cobra's last pup is the medium sized green one, below it. There's some TINY seedlings, off to the right.. Contemplating whether or not I should dig them up and bring them in for the winter? Grow em under lights til their bigger?

S. brokkensis(xCatesbaei) seedlings. ;) It went a little crispy adapting to my lower humidity conditions but the new pitchers coming in are looking good.
6296426144_64ddd017d0_b.jpg

S. minor seedlings I got from Mach early this year.. I unknowingly stuck them outside in full sun, and almost killed them all.. When it started to cool down this fall I brought them inside. And boom, these are the pitchers they made. lol.

Oh... everything looks so good! :laaa:

Cobra babies stay red til they grow up to be 3ft monsters like yours will I assume. I'm diggin' the rocks around the cobras because it makes it look like the natural rocky stream sites :awesome:

good god...I've never seen so many gemmae. :0o:

Maybe it exploded like that because I grew it outside, and only recently brought it inside under lights?

Ones grown outside seem to make gemmae better than those grown exclusively under lights, but still.....that's extreme.

Very nice, how big are the cobra seedlings?

D. roseana is the D. capensis of subgenus Bryastrum. In my collection it's the first to produce gemmae and the produces the largest amount. Fortunately it doesn't seem to fling the gemmae far and wide as much as D. scorpioides or D. puchella (and hybrids). I have one plant that went from gemmae to a mature plant producing gemmae in 4 months. And this plant produces gemmae twice a year. Another bit of good fortune is D. roseana doesn't mind crowding at all.

Holy cow.. incredible photos as always Brie.. I LOVE the cobras.. those seedling ARE really red!
The D. roseanna pot is insanely beautiful the way it is... I can't get my eyes off it!

Lol @ emo Akai Ryu.. I don't know what it is about Seattle weather but my venus' are so digging the weather right now too; putting out the biggest and most colorful traps I've seen all year.

Well I FINAAAALLLYY Got around to potting up the seeds i've been storing.. I borrowed Mach's method with growing stuff from seed. Used the media of choice for each plant, then topped it with a thin layer of rinsed, finely milled then sterilized LFS as a comfy bed for the seeds. So then they can root right down into the media... I sterilized EVERYTHING.. Pots got boiled, sand and peat all rinsed then microwaved... If I get mold or bad things i'll be upset. LOL.

Eden Black x self seeds.. pardon my icky dry looking hands, i'd washed them 100 times while sterilizing pots and whatnot lol.

And I also potted up some of my D. intermedia (Mnt Roraima) seed that I harvested today.
