I snapped a new photo of my droso today.. I brought it inside a couple weeks ago, and it seems WAY happier now that its inside.. Its leaves have thickened quite a bit and its unfurling new ones at top speed..

The newest leaf and pitcher on my Royal Truncata.. I was all excited about it cuz its the first one in my care, but then it was pointed out that it has Little Lid Syndrome.. im new at neps so had no idea what it was or that this pitcher even looked abnormal. heh.. *sigh* oh well.. I hope its next one is perfect.

Mine always has little lid syndrome  I hope yours grows out of it though!

Do you always have your droso under 2 lights?! :0o:

I've gotta find me a droso. That's the coolest thing I've ever seen.

I hope so too..

And yes.. They need intense light.. Also, the bulbs are just 1 "mushroom" CF plant bulb, and one little 13w energy saver bulb.. so not like 150w or anything..

That capensis is insane!

Holy flower scapes! I've noticed most truncatas have a tendency to make deformed lids more so that other species.

Snapped a couple pics of my patio today, after doing some general plant clean up/late season repotting... I had PLANNED on chopping all pitchers off and lining all the pots up against the wall/corner of the patio, then cover with plant insulation cloth.. BUT. Apparently they aren't quite ready yet.. Still lots of new pitcher growth, even after a week of freezing at night. *sigh* GO THE EFF TO SLEEP! lol.

Nice pics! The Drosophyllm looks a little spoiled with its own personal lights

I remember a few months back you had gotten a sarr that had a flower...I believe it was the triple rarity or something like that...has the flower made seeds or been lost to the frost?

Oh hey, I totally missed your question lance.. sorry for the late reply..

I got an alabamensis that had a flower on it, but sadly looks like it was never fertilized.. I did also get a "Appalachian Spring" that had a fertilized flower on it.. I collected the seed a couple weeks back...

ummm....those sarr seeds look like they may be fertile...just saying...awesome stuff. ;)

  • #116

  • #117
Umm.. I am confused?? I said fertile didnt I? lol.

  • #118
I think they thought the seeds were of the alabamensis.

  • #119
Oops....thought you were posting pics of the one that that supposedly didn't get fertillized.....don't mind me.
