Brie's CP photo thread

WoW!! The plants are looking good Brie!!! Good job :)

Nice pictures and plants! I really like your balcony setup, how it surrounds you, as you reign over them!

  • #483
Really nice, really clean. Wish I could fit all that on my railing.

  • #484
WOW! Didn't realize you had that much space. Now I'm REALLY jealous. Still say you need a hammock though.

  • #485
Wow, wish my deck was that tidy. So jealous of your cobra flower, my favorite CP flower. The diet coke can in the mini bog makes a nice accent, LOL. All your plants look great.

I'm definitely moving my cyclosecta under stronger lights. The Drosera need to stop flowering first. I find it really interesting that it's not just the growth form and color that change under stronger lighting, but also the leaf shape.

Isn't it amazing that its mid-May already and Sarracenia are still working on blooms and first pitchers! I'm curious, what do you know about the history of the "Adrian Slack Imposter"? (hint: I know nada)

Its annoying is what it is!

Ive tried to find the history on the AS Imposter before, but no luck.. know Brooks has/had it and worked with it, and I see alot of stuff about it in posts from europe.. So it might be a UK clone maybe? http://www.cpukforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33068

Sorry for the late reply, I never saw your post for some reason..

Edit: I just found on Mike King's site that he has the plant, and references "Brooks Garcia 2006".. so maybe Brooks is the originator?

I see your secret.....YOU WATER THEM WITH DIET COKE!

D. regia Big Easy cuttings.. this is round 2 for all of these root pieces.. I just keep snipping away the plantlets as they get too tall for the cup. Theres a ton of "nodes" promising new plants still as well.

I'm not a big pygmy fan, but those D. helodes are awesome.
Let me know if you ever have any gemmae to part with pretty please.

  • #497
A dazzling display. 'Good to know that your plants are still awesome. :)

  • #498
OMG, your indoor plants are awesome. Love those frilly sarr hybrids. The purp Montana is my favorite of all the purp varieties, mine are not quite as big as yours yet though but lots of color.

Brie, I am filled with envy when I look at your Drosera, and it makes me realize what a lousy Sundew grower I am! That D. helodes is indeed a marvel to behold. Wow.

  • #500
Thanks everyone for the kind words.. The D. helodes is indeed awesome looking.. My fav of the pygmies I have.. They're just perfect little round puff balls LOL.

And its ok Paul.. We all have our thing... I kill nepenthes, so... lol. Being a good nepenthes grower is probably much more difficult then being a pesky drosera grower.
