    Volunteers . . .

While watering this morning, I happened to notice a number of volunteers from other pots and a start or two from discarded flower stalks.

    Dionaea muscipula cv. "B52"

    Drosera sp.

Nice finds! Discarding a flower stalk and getting plants from it? Now thats a green thumb

What pot did that Drosera fall into? What else is in the pot??

    Thanks . . .

Yes, it's quite common to plants capable of self-pollination; and it has happened on innumerable occasions with Dionaea, Drosera, and Cephalotus over the years.

Last Spring, I trimmed a bunch of flower stalks and tossed them in (then) rain-flooded pots; and that little volunteer was the first obvious example this time around. The Drosera, in the last year, has invaded a number of pots -- and is a bit of a weed . . .
