    You can trash the fan by putting current into the tach and/or PWM leads.

    Fans are incredibly cheap if you buy them from a surplus electronics place:

    Not always true, but usually with DC the red and black are power, with them being pos and neg respectively

    Yeah, I think you're right. I think I did just that. Thanks to you all for the help. I also checked the voltage and amps of the output. The fan is fried.

    Thanks Dashman, very kind of you. I actually don't need one right now. I have a smaller one running, just that I have this one lying around so I thought I'd see if it runs and curious to see how powerful the fan is. Thanks tho'.
