ALGEBRAIC!
Anyone carve any pumpkins this year? I really enjoy carving pumpkins but haven't had the time the past few years, but I had time this year!

Our idea was to get 3 pumpkins and all carve them with Batman/Arkham City video game in mind.. my fiance wanted to do the Bat Signal/Symbol, and I wanted to carve The Riddler and Batman. Unfortunately the bat signal didn't make it due to impatience, RIP bat signal pumpkin.. lol.

In the end, I am pretty happy with the outcome of both my pumpkins. I wasn't expecting anything near this awesome because I haven't carved a pumpkin in quite a few years.

If anyone carved any pumpkins this year, I would love to see! Please share!

Woah...
How the #*@% did you do that?
But to answer the question, yes I answer the phone whether it rings or not :p

I scrape the inside of the pumpkin where I am going to carve, so much that the pumpkin wall is like and inch-1/2in thick. It makes it really easy to carve really detailed images, the only problem is, the image won't last as long and will start to droop sooner. I did both of these over the past 3 days to avoid drooping before tonight.

I didn't know how to make my own pumpkin stencil so I googled photos of batman and riddler spray paint stencils and used them as guidelines to make the pumpkin. I'm glad you like them!

Makes me do this :boogie: cause I wasn't expecting them to turn out so awesome.

That's intense!

Doesn't look like those fellows like the taste of pumpkin. :)

Wow that is INCREDIBLE!

I wish I were anywhere near as talented as that, thank you so much for sharing that link GrowinOld!

Practice practice practice!

Edit:You think your friend would mind if I shared this link at another forum?

Why Not! It is fantastic work!

And nice carving yourself by the way!

Here is what the guy I know did this year...They were real nice in person:

His wife does most all of the gutting ('Till her arm literally swells up!), & he, his wife & daughter all do carving, however he indeed does most.

For the past 6 or 7 years we host a huge pumpkin carving party. This year we had about 50 pumpkins carved.

Here was mine, nothing spectacular but I always enjoy a jack-o-latern.
