Now, bear in mind that this is just a first pitcher on a juvenile plant. That pitcher is barely 2.5" tall, ya know!

First meal ever !

I see these bugs popping around when spring comes, don't know the species, looks like an elongated stink bug. Never thought it'd be attracted to drosophyllum or maybe it was an accidental landing. I actually saw him struggling yesterday but guessed he'd make it since this droso is only a seedling and the bug looked tough... I almost feel sorry for it but I'm pretty sure in a few weeks its friends will swarm the house and my mind will change.
