I was up in San Fran and decided to stop by Peter D Amato's nursery/collection and take some pics
and get some new additions too!! I forgot to bring my D70 so I only got a few Iphone pics.
Nepenthes eymae struttin its amazing lowers. This clone was the first ever plant stumbled upon...no wonder they noticed it!!
three new hybrids in the making
A darlingtonia bog. Looks like they are taking dormancy just fine.
Me holding up some big pitcher. Damn fly in my eye!!! Should-a been in the pitcher...
A closer look at the behemoth
Another hybrid flower with 5 hybrids in the making...
Some big random pitcher amongst the foliage
A closer look
Another hybrid in the making...looks like Damon is making use of the many inflorescence that come out
Another hybrid in the making...but this one is my creation from the pollen I sent them.
If all goes right N. X Aeneas (X rokko X Bical) should be ready in a few months.
No big development has been noticed yet, but I hear Bical crosses tend to start ripening very slowly, so still high hopes for this one!!! A closer look reveals a tiny bit of development over the past month.
Looks like there could be a lot of seeds from this one. It's probably the biggest female flower in the greenhouse right now. More seeds means more giveaways!!
What I got
Nepenthes ventricosa 'red' female
And N. X Ille De France male ...quite colorful
I came back with my new plants to see that my S. Leah Wilkerson F1 seeds had dried out while I was gone . I poured some water in and 12 hours later I noticed that several seeds were sprouting. YAY!!
Thats all I got for pics this time. I would have taken more pics but I only had an iPhone cam... and with a house full of nepenthes I got distracted. Hope you enjoyed
