Thanks Smitty. I'll have to post more pics of my sarracenia seedlings. I have hundreds of them:D.

Sarracenias everywhere

I have so many sarracenia seedlings that its getting crazy. I didnt think i'd get such a good germination rate being i'm just a noob but everything has had very good germination rates. I bought 80 pots to put stuff into its own pot but quickly realized i'm going to need hundreds more and a lot more space to grow these.

Bought an extra greenhouse to keep indoors for them but thats not going to be nearly enough either:-O. Going to have to start building tables for them. I should have an impressive collection in a few years is the upside.

good Lord man.. you're going to be up to your neck in sarrs come summer time.

  • #44
I know. Isnt it beautiful:D? I'm anxious to see what a lot of these will look like in the next couple of years. Bad thing about having all of these is I have to keep them all until I have the variations that I want. Its going to be fun building tables for all of these this summer.

  • #45
You have an Ark of Sarrs! There are the usual Virginia purp hoods! They can definitely go outside this summer.

  • #46
I'm putting everything out this summer. I dont have the space to keep growing them indoors and my better half is flipping out about them:p.

Thought i'd share a few pics of where I grow my lowland and highland nepenthes.

I keep my LLs in a terrarium. Its huge...probably around 75 gallons, maybe a lil bigger. It stays anywhere from 70-85F and the humidity is kind of low, about 55-60%, but the only thing that seems affected is my gracilis. I have gracilis, truncata, bicalcarata, ampullaria, morganiana, rafflesiana, mirabilis, globosa(I think) and ventricosa x northiana in the terrarium. Along with other plants like mini orchids, philodendron, and african violets. Its also where I germinate some seed.

My HL plants are in a cheap greenhouse i bought on ebay for like $40. It stays anywhere from 70-75F during the day and around 60F at night. Humidity is always high, around 75% at all times. I have lots of nepenthes in it. Too many to list but most havent acclimated since I just started seriously collecting them a couple months ago.
