It has maxima in it. Definitely not Miranda though, not the right shape. The one I sent you is definitely Miranda if you want to use that as a comparison.

No problem. I think that thing will grow in any condition as far as temps are concerned.

I'm too ignorant of neps to have a decent idea of what your mystery plant is - but I really like it. Nice job.

Just for some feedback: If I were to enter a N. singalana pitcher in the "pitcher of the month" contest, would you pick the pitcher with the lighter colored peristome, or the one with the darker peristome?(the closeups are only of these two pitchers)...Or is that cheating? I don't think it is :p

I personally like them both in different ways, so it's hard to decide...

Very nice. N.singlana is absolutely one of my favorite plants. Doesn't get half the appreciation it deserves.

Is there any one of the two singalana pitchers pictured above that you like more (if you care to share)?

  • #51
I'm always more partial to the older, darker, more fully colored up ones.

  • #52
That singalana is amazing! I'd go with the darker colored one.

  • #53
Darker one..

Yeah, I guess those always win out, don't they... Thanks for the nice comments :) I agree that singalanas are under-appreciated. It was actually sent to me by accident as a N. glabrata a few years ago, and at that point I didn't know what it was until I did some internet searching. It's been one of my favorites since! The pitchers last a very long time, which is another big plus (they stay looking nice for several months, sometimes almost up to a year).

The rocks work for voles too. You should have seen the Droso at the conference. I didn't know they could get that large.
