Share photos of your neighborhood birds. :)

I took pictures of the native birds.

I love the Kiskadees that come by, their calls are adorable and their plumage is regal.

I love the House Sparrows that live here, they remind me of finches, they are very reclusive though.

I assume this is a female or an Olive Sparrow.

The bird on the bottom is a Northern Mockingbird, not sure of the higher one.

A European Starling, I think, looks a bit too colorful. It could also be a Great-tailed Grackle. What do you think?

    The native Zebra Finches. LOL

There was also a Woodpecker in a tree right next to the house but I placed the camera away before I saw him, maybe next time!

Sure, why not.. I have some bird photos.. You asked for it. lol. Was a pass time I had while living with my family. We lived with my grandfather, and we watched the wild birds together, had feeders and whatnot, so naturally I took alot of photos.. These are all 3-6 years old now, taken with a few different old camera models and lenses. I had ALOT more photos of various species but I cant for the life of me find the folder.. just found a folder with these in it.. oh well..

female Pileated Woodpecker that was a fairly regular visitor

Cooper's Hawk in neighbors yard. Their diet consists of mostly birds.. This old swingset is what the neighbors used to hang their feeders.. Have a feeling I just missed him dive bombing some birds for lunch and missing.

    Varied Thrush

    House finches

    Black capped Chickadee

    Yellow Rumped Warbler

    Townsend's Warbler

That last photo got featured on our local news that night after I uploaded it to a community gallery.. My grandfather came pounding up the stairs yelling BRIE BRIE YOUR PHOTO IS ON THE TV! lol.. he was so excited. Told me to take a photo of the tv so he could send a photo to the whole dang family. :P

    Summer photos...

    House finches again

    Evening Grosbeak

    Our state bird, Goldfish...

Hehe, did my pics inspire you to post this? Here are some of mine. I have lots of birds in my area but I've never been good at bird photography.

    My bluebird pair.

    Female going into the box.

    Red Bellied Woodpecker

    Cute chipping sparrow

My beloved Henrietta with the tiny chipping sparrow.

    Male painted bunting.

    Peep my awesome budgie boy

Some of the baby budgies I raised. I'm a bird breeder.

A budgie girl and her giant friend a white homing pigeon.
