Your macfarlanei looks like the macfarlanei X sanguinea that BE was selling as pure macfarlanei a while back.

Hmmm could be. I got it from a separate cultivator who labelled it as a "N. macfarlanei - Genting" about 3 years ago but it's definitely possible he got it through BE. That's a little dissappointing :/ I should probably contact them. Thanks for the ID though!

'Very nice collection of plants. Somehow your catesbaei seems more showy than others I've seen photographed. I also really like the S. flava 'Bronze' - such wide tops and narrow bases. I am uncertain about the unknown Drosera. Spatulata, maybe?

  • #18
Thanks bluemax! I really like that catesbaei, it's putting up it's fifth pitcher now from the same growth point in the last month! And yeah, that flava's definitely a nice plant, really happy to have picked it up. Hmm, that drosera definitely could be a spatulata. It should open up some flowers any day now, so I'm hoping to maybe be able to figure it out from those. They appear to be almost magenta, a deep, yet bright pink, but I can't really tell for sure since they're just buds.
