    Trip down to New Jersey pine barrens

    As some of you know, I am down staying with my grandfather who lives by the pine barrens, he also works at a nursery that grows sarrs. We took a visit to his friend's (Bill Smith) bog first and then went to the pine barrens after.

    This was really cool, did a little bit of island hopping and found this little seedling hidden behind a bush, the whole plant is completely red... not one bit of green whatsoever. After searching around for a while I didnt find any other plant like this..... really cool.

    I went into sarr overload and almost clicked off, but then I saw the sphagnum and OMG!

    Didn't know dews could grow submerged...

    EDIT: OMG died on the second post. Sooooo much sphagnum!!! Purely sphagnum and purps!

    Wow amazing pics!!! I bet theres a lot of cross breeding going on in his bog lol. That should should be fun identifying those seedlings when they get big. That red purp looks really promising!

    OMG Becky.....Look at that purp, it is SO BIG!

    also...I can't believe there is a sarr nursery on the east coast, I've never even heard of one!
    Some days it just isn't worth chewing thru the restraints.
