Portland, OR Area Openhouse, July 2012 Picture Thread.

bluemax

Lotsa blue
Attending this open house is becoming an annual event for some of us and I am guessing that others in the TF community are aware that it was/is this weekend. For the benefit of those who might not have been able to attend for whatever reasons I wish to have a thread here where pictures can be posted for anyone interested. I encourage anyone who also has pictures from this event to feel free to add them.

showoff.. BRAGGER!!!

What do you think the temps were in the schizzy area? That thing is amazing..

is that the nursery east of portland

Mark, did you get a picture of the crazy, deformed flytrap?

p.s., for all of those who were there, I was the guy "directing" parking.

Apparently I missed you by ten minutes, Mark! :-(

'Seemed like low to mid 80's F. to me. The schizandra was kept under the bench with the clear plastic dome sitting next to it in the picture on top.

That'd be the one, Mickey.

Incrediburgable, burger chef!

'Glad you liked the pics. And there were burgers, too.

Mark, did you get a picture of the crazy, deformed flytrap?

I guess not. I'm trying to remember it.

Apparently I missed you by ten minutes, Mark! :-(

I was sorry to hear that, too! There is continued talk about a Portland area cp club. Maybe we can meet there sometime.

Great pics Mark! Leaving tomorrow, but I will get some pics up later this week when I return from the Darlingtonia fields down south.

Great pics!! Thanks for sharing!

Great event, many beautiful plants. I was the one who brought the small dog, hope she didn't whimper too much, we had too much planned for the day to leave her home!

Hey! There's me back there with my fiance!

I'll post what little photos I took; it's funny how little you use the camera when you are put into a situation like that. I was so in heaven I totally forgot of it's existence

Leaving tomorrow, but I will get some pics up later this week when I return from the Darlingtonia fields down south.

I'm looking forward to it.

Great pics!! Thanks for sharing!

'Glad you enjoyed them.

'Sorry we didn't meet. Maybe another time at some sort of Portland area cp meeting?

Those drosophyllums...They are not real...Are they ?

They are real but no less amazing in the flesh.

Mato told me who you were after you left, but I do remember you. 'Sorry we didn't speak. It's so funny to be in the same place but not know each other.

Your pics are very enjoyable. Thanks for posting them!

I agree. I feel lucky to have this happen less than an hour from where I live. 'Glad you enjoyed.

I would love to be only an hours drive away, I am 4 hours out, and stayed in Portland the night before. Still, very lucky to live even that close and have a fiance who is so supportive of this addiction of mine that I disguise as a hobby.

Thanks bluemax, I enjoyed yours also! It's cool to see through the photos a different perspective of the adventure!

It was a totally funny situation for me.. I am a super shy person, and that part of me really shined the other day  I now very much regret just not introducing myself to everyone, because it would have made it that much more fun to have met you guys :)

There's always next year! I might be going again toward the end of the year, but am unsure. This is definitely something I am going to do every year.

Would be fun to coordinate times to get together for these things!
