Yeah, there's not a drastic change like in the continental US as far as hours of daylight, but there is a notible difference. On the windward side where I am, in the winter time its rainy and cloudy all the time. So the reduction in hours and lack of sun during those hours seems to make a big difference with some of my plants. I agree though about the capensis, mine look the same too

Ohh yeah, kinda forgot how cloudy that side can get. Though central side can get pretty rainy too. At least you get plenty rain water

A little update. Most things have still been growing slowly due to it being winter time, however I have gotten a little bit of action lately in some plants...

One of my pings is flowering. Yay! Looks like it'll be a pretty one

The unknown Green Giant had finally put out a pitcher and more coming as well. He seems to like the shade-house and all the rain we've been getting lately. I love this little guys coloring and hairy wings! I can't wait to see what he looks like when it gets a more mature pitcher.

My very first nepenthes seedling to sprout! I hope the others take suit and do the same...

Also my cuttings seem to be working for a change. Yipeee! This guy accidentally fell out of the pot and to my surprise, there's roots!

Cephalotus putting out new pitcher after being smushed! Looks like he'll make it *sorry for the picture quality (phone pic)

And just an overall view of the nepenthes in the shade-house. The collection is growing!

Yeah, the software that I used for it is extremely primitive and it doesn't allow for sound to be edited in. This one was just a trial run to get out all the kinks. Next time I should be able to get everything in the frame correctly and if it all looks good I'll take the time to edit it my really good video editing software (with music! )

    N. kampotiana x (khasiana x alata) is a cool one. The one at Meadowview has pink pitchers. Not pinkish, but bubblegum pink. N. sib x Lady Pauline will be interesting.
