Beautiful shots, all of them! Why not just incorporate multiple styles of calendars, each with a different selection? Or even better, a customizable calendar!

  • #22
the IBCPG (international brotherhood of carnivorous plant growers) has endorsed plant pics x, x, and x
but the Nectar Party has endorsed plant pics y,y and y

dang these robo calls, stop the madness....

  • #23
@asid cause that costs money

  • #24
So if there's a tie, what happens? We get two pretty pictures for one month?

  • #25
2nd round of votings between the 2 to determine final placing- this will only occur if there are ties for the last place position. in the case of ties within the top, both photos will be used but for different months. the votings do not determine the placement of photos according to months, just simply which ones will appear in the calendar.

ie: 1,1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9a,9b,9c,9d,9e,9f,9g
transit: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 (hold 2nd voting between the 9s, and 9g, 9f, 9d, and 9a get the top votes)
becomes: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9g,9f,9d,9a.

does that make sense?

Jon, if there's to be a "scratch and sniff" component to the 2013 calendar as you had discussed at length, I vociferously disagree with your choice of a Sarracenia flower -- since most of us find it a bit too "feline" an odor for polite company . . .

  • #27
Lucky for you David, there will be no scratch and sniff. There will be 3-d pop ups though. Will this suffice?

  • #28
i cant remember the last time i had polite company

  • #29

Wow, really upping the competition here I see. 0o I am sad I missed the deadline for entering but I wouldn't have been able to run with these bad boys anyway.

Good luck everyone and great pictures!

shouldnt every one get a chance to have their photos on the calendar , it is a terraforums calander right?:-(
is it just me if so sorry but i had to voice my opinion.

and as a open forum wish we could have had more to vote on ??

And several genera are omitted completely. Most unfortunate. Perhaps the lowly Venus Flytrap is too pedestrian now?

  • #40
yeah too many in situ toothy nep photos for sure. not to say they are all the same but with only 12 slots woulda been nice to see more variation. how can you have a CP calender without VFT or a Ceph?
