Thanks! Ya, that's the one you sent me. It's going to the nursery owner on Tuesday. How's the amp basal doing?

    Got some new plants today!

Amorphophallus bulbifer, I LOVE this plant.

Colocasia gigantea. I have a few seedlings of this, but a friend is lending me an adult to help teach a camp.

A bad pic of the newest N. Lowii x campanulata pitcher.

What happens when you leave a bical in direct sun for a few hours? This.

But it still kept its newest pitcher (starting to see that 'Sarawak Red' coloration).

Arghh congrats on your new plants, I'm a big fan of the colocasia family but I lost the ones I have to spider mites (didn't have an effective treatment back then) and Bulbifer is definitely one of my future targets. I hope they grow great for you.

Haha thank you! I'm working on growing some Colocasia from seed as well, I'll be sure to inspect them regularly. Hopefully my parents won't notice the smell if I get the Amorpho to flower next year...

Thank you! I noticed that this species likes to be a little farther from the lights than other Drosera, it doubled in size when it wasn't directly beneath the lights.

That's entirely correct, mine would procreate about every 2 months. I grew mine in live LFS, though.

In my climate Colocasia, Kroton and plants of the Solonaceae family are regularly infested by spider mites. I don't know why but they skip all other plants in my collection and go for the Kroton first for instance. Now I use a miticide every month and it's been fine for the past few years.

Wow I hadn't thought of sowing colocasia seeds, that sounds awesome. Are they difficult to germinate ?
