    Wow! Love the toucan, eyelash viper and that veiled chameleon! In fact, they're all pretty spectacular. Nice work!

    Thanks guys!

    Just a bit on the technical aspects:

    Taken with a Nikon D5100 and a 70-300mm f/5.6 VR (the VR makes a huge difference)

    The indoor ones were shot between 1/60 and 1/40 depending on how slow the animal was and how dark it was. Most of the exhibits were really dark, so I was mostly shooting at ISO 320. The photos were really dark, so I brightened them in post editing, of course.

    The outdoor photos were all fairly standard. Easy shooting.

    The bat photo was interesting. I decided to use a vintage 135mm F/2.8 to maximize the available light, which turned out to be good, except it was manual focus only. I took about thirty photos and that was the only one that turned out. It was shot at about 1/40 and ISO 1000, which is why it is so grainy. Overall, not a great pic, but an interesting one to try and take.

    Thanks all!

    @Amph, lol!

    @JMN, they look so odd, like they should be top heavy or something.
