Flickr is free too, and you got one terabyte of space. I dont know wetransfer, but with flick you can download the full size original photo, and you can get many formats too, like avatar or passport size.

Anyway eheh :)

Maybe send a forum wide email to everyone and let them know about it.

I thought about that too... Just now sent one but it timed out so I don't know how many people got it. hahahaha love that.

Here's one, for consideration, from this Spring. Sadly, most of my recent shots have been portrait in orientation. Perhaps I can take some better shots his week . . .

Just got your email, Andy. Hopefully there are more entries, as I'm no photographer and would hate to be included by default.

As stated before, I'm no Man Ray, so if anyone (cough Jon), wouldn't mind cropping for me... ;)

anarchy in the calander thread, tisk tisk :p

(although I assume the rules can be set aside when the thread is in such desperate need of attention that a mass email is sent out).

Adding photos that are not the ones being submitted for the calendar is not allowed. Please follow the rules. The one photo from you here should match the one sent to the email address for submission. The calendar is a project taken on my myself and those who volunteer their services to help it move along and get completed... The fact that an email was sent out reminding people of the project is not a sign that rules can be ignored. If enough submissions don't come through to support the voting process and a completed acceptable calendar then so be it. I want to make it since it seems to be wanted by some, but I am fine with not doing it too if it comes to that. As stated in the rules not following the rules can result in being disqualified. Please go back and make sure you are all following the rules so we can keep moving forward with this.
Thanks!
Andrew

Sorry, Andrew. Seeing that quoted, I guess it was a bit snide.

So, if my first photo doesn't seem to be in the landscape format, does that mean I should keep the second one? Than again, I don't even know if that one is "landscape."

Damn landscape rule... Nepenthes just photograph so much better in the portrait style. Anywho, I suppose I have a small something to contribute if needed.

If it can be cropped into landscape (from square?) is up to Amphiron, he does the graphics.. all depends on photo size I guess. It is required because that's how the calendars is laid out.

Not sure if it's calendar-worthy but here's my contribution: U. warburgii

lol. how about next year we do one of those portrait calendars? i dont know if you'd enjoy your calendars in portrait format though. :p

EDIT: Im noticing that I havent received a few full resolution entries of certain submissions on this thread. Please be sure to either email me a high resolution of your submission (8 MP or larger) or link me to your full res image!

@mato: your second submission is better qualified for the running than the first. however, your photo seems to be cropped in a manner that makes it unusable in a landscape format. the quick version: if your camera was in its horizontal position when the image is shot, it's in landscape format. if you chose to crop your photo because of some unsightly plastic or another plant photobombing the other, please make sure that the crop is scaled along the same ratio as your original landscape format. otherwise, nice to see heliamphora in the running. ;)
