    Where to buy New Zealand sphagnam in bulk?

    Iam going to be repotting 20 or so nepenthes soon and Iam looking for the best price.I have looked through the archives but I cant find this topic.Iam willing to use Chile moss or New Zealand.Can anyone tell me where they get theres from.I have been getting mine from Lowes here in Oregon but Iam pretty sure there is a cheaper place to buy from plus I need alot.Any good places online.Prefer somewhere that takes paypal but not necessary.Any help would be great,thanks in advance.

    You can get bales of NZ sphagnum off eBay and probably some specialist sites that people will mention. I would get at least a 1 kilo size bale (1000 grams) if you plan on potting up a lot and having the sphagnum make up a large part of your potting mix.

    I buy all my lfs from these guys: http://www.calwesttropical.com It's by far the best quality for the price I've been able to find anywhere. They sell 2 grades of premium New Zealand sphagnum and their lesser grade beats out the higher grades from other places by far.

    I just checked calwest there AAA moss is not not available to chose from.

    It's a seasonal product that's in high demand and they often run out in winter. The company also buys it by the container load so they wait until their stock has been depleted enough to reorder such a large quantity. The fact that it's an agricultural product that comes from a foreign country also slows down this process. I always make sure I buy more than I think I'll need.
