anyone else bothered by those massive fake cp videos on youtube?

I am really annoyed about this issue that I just want to discuss it here. Everytime I do a youtube search for carnivorous plants looking for any sort of cool legitimate videos outthere. I bump into a series of massively plagiarized non- legitimate videos created by wierd fake accounts. Over 50 different accounts think. And each user has the same exact video as the other with images stolen from the web i even found the avatar of one of the users on this forum as an image on the video. the videos are in almost every possible carnivorous species and genus one could think of. Anyone else getting bothered by it?
i really have it tough searching for real videos since im afraid of clicking a phony video that will waste my time, not only that but it also takes up video space and makes me look for the real videos one by one scrolling through each page. anyone has similar experience?:poke: im wondering if its possible to report these users or do something about it. It really is an unpleasant experience

pisses me off too

How's it going Salgadoxx8! Been a while since we've communicated!

Anyway, I don't know what videos your talking about, guess I haven't really scoured the tube-of-you for carnivorous plant info. Please let me know what ones these are, if you don't want to post them publicly, then please message me. :D

you can generally learn to avoid them by filtering your search by viewcount, I agree though, they are super annoying. Perhaps we can get them taken down if we all report them for copyright violations.

I don't think I've encountered any of these -- can someone cite an example, please?

Sean, buddy! it's been a while, here ya go, these are just a few examples:

http://youtu.be/a3Uqwwmf-Rg
http://youtu.be/UBVYh-kD7Q0
http://youtu.be/Yugnoa5tjwc
http://youtu.be/hAAznxwqJQA

the list is so long...it goes on and on, basically just browse for any specific species of CP on youtube and you'll find yourself flooded with the same plagiarized videos over and over, trust me, it well get at ya.

How can these dreadful videos be in any way productive for the "author" when they have been online for a year or more and have yet to accumulate more than five or ten views?! Talk about pointless.

they gain money from the views, they are going only for quantity not quality. You will notice the videos only have a few views but each channel has several thousand videos. Im sure its one or two people with multiple channels too.

I want to do this, I'm thinking of reporting the accounts associated with those videos, I haven't yet found the button to do so. Reporting each account multiple times would likely get it banned and delete all those videos as opposed to reporting each video individually which would take a really long time. They've been up for a while now, im not sure how youtube still hasn't taken care of these videos.

They are just scammers trying to make some money from youtube views..
the good thing is, they are failing miserably at it! ;)
Check out the view counts on this guys videos:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVUUkiLF5ufUJphJwEA4HtQ

Eventually they will learn its not worth the effort to get 4 views on a video, and get paid nothing for it..
of course the videos are probably made with software, so there isnt much effort involved..
but still, they wont be making any money this way..which is good..

They are really annoying, especially when I search for a specific species and get a video as one of the first results.

I need to get with the program, and monetize my youtube channel. At least I have real videos, and not slide shows with crappy, pixelated, stolen photos.

LOL pretty lame videos. I have also seen books or on eBay that are supposed to be CP books but in the description is that it's info culled from Wikipedia, just as bad and copyright infringing I would imagine.

There's a ton of these too.

Example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Carnivo...957?pt=US_Nonfiction_Book&hash=item5407a97915

From description: "Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online...."
