Future butterflies of america

I saw these guys munching on some flowers. I think they turn into swallowtail butterflies.

Nice pic Dyflam!!!!!!!!!!

That is not the monarch caterpillar. Monarch larvae ONLY eat milkweed. It is a Queen larvae. (I was a butterfly freak when i was young) I raised 16 monarchs and let them all go successfully. I still do it when I find a load of larvae I take them into my care and I help the monarch populaiton come back up from what it is now.

But monarch caterpillars only eat milkweed!

how could I forget that?! and I live right by the butterfly town, where in november 50,000 monarks come to rest in the eucoliptis trees.
