Thread: Day trip to a soggy mountainside

1. #1
Took a road trip with my Aunt today and on the way we drove up a long, winding, dirt trail that led up a mountain side. I spotted some skunk cabbage and noticed a creek oozing down towards the coast. So we did some exploring and found D. rotundifolia and P. vulgaris. The pics aren't the best because I jumped out of the truck and forgot my tripod.. but they work

First look..
The ground was carpeted with these, as usual..
A close-up of vulgaris
A small portion of the "field" of them
They sure do like growing between the rocks..
My aunts Chow Chow, Yew, he was a big help ... *
