Thread: crickets at PFT :)

    As a trial run, we have received a couple of dozen cans of crickets.

    They are dead [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif[/img] ( bummer for the crickets ).

    The can contains about 200 3 week size crickets ( about 1/4 inch or larger ).

    These are perfect for that Sarracenia, Nepenthes and if you have the patience, VFT's ( you have to drop it in, and tap the trap a few times....like a couple times a day for a couple of days- it has worked for me [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif[/img])

    Also for you Herpers ( I hope that is a word )....these are great for turtles, frogs, lizards ( float them in water if your pet is use to eating live crickets- it works!! )

    One word of warning for you Jeff... Dead crickets will start to STINK so put thim in the freezer.

    They are canned to 'lock in natural juices. [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif[/img]

    So once opened, you can put the lid back on and place in the fridge [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif[/img]
