thanks, we do, but I don't know what my mom will think of me buying stuff at the thrift store (instead of buying new ones)

It was perfectly fine. All I had to do was wash it. When you consider the cost of a new one vs. half an hour of washing...not bad. Unless you plan on returning it to the store, it's much cheaper to get a used one.

I did have to buy a light and a lid for the tank, $40. Add the humidifier at around $25, a timer, etc. It gets expensive. And this is just for a 15 gallon tank.

    Unhappy

but wouldn't an ultrassonic fogger work as a humidifier? And I already have a UVA/UVB light and hood. Then it's just the plants I'm not going to grow anything mega demanding. I got my 10-gallon for 7 dollars at Mal*Wart. I also have 9 plant in my terrarium. Couple sundews, 1 Sar., 1 Nep. with a flouresant light. Why would you need a ultrassonic fogger, sound kool but I really don't think you need one. With that money you could a bigger tank. Just an idear.

I had 2 Merrilliana bout 6-8 inches dia in a 5 and 1/2 gal terrarium and I have them both in a 10 gallon with 2 Gracilis. I have the three Neps above in a 20 gallon extra extra tall. So You can fit most any nepenthes size in any terarium size. Just be creative and you can even hang pots if they are light and don't wiergh too much But I got extra tall for heat exchange heat rises and the taller the terarium the higher the heat will be away from the plants. So I could fit about ten 4 inch pots in the 20 gallon and I could fit about 6 8 inch pots. In the 10 gallon I coulf fit about eight 4 inch pots and 3 8 inch pots.
