    I found this guy foraging in my yard. Not really hurting anything so I didn't hurt him (or her).

    Wow...that looks like the grasshopper that ate New York! Kinda reminds me of the old movie "Them". If anyone here is old enough to remember that one.

    Nice shot Dyflam. I'm wondering if the slight bend in his right antenna indicates that he is studying you in return. I used to hold the end of a stick near cockroaches to watch their antennae (ms?) touch the stick to see what it was.

    PlantAKiss, I'm thinking of the old giant-bug-genre of movies where the Boing 737 sized grasshoppers muched out on Chicago. Think it was named "Beginning of the End".
