Hey all,
I'm just curious, how many CP species exist today? (An estimate would be good) (Besdies the fact, we are continuing to find them everyday and some of them lost due to human development

)

i would guess at around 500 species or a lil more.

ok, lets round
like 125 drosera
80 or so neps
about 200 utrics
and around 10 heliamphora
about 10 sarrs
about 50 pings
and adding about 5 for all those monotypical families (ceph, drosophyllum, darlingtonia, aldrovanda, vfts)
and b. liniflora, gigantea, rorida, and filifolia (about 5)
soo..
ABOUT 485
I'm sure I messed up somwhere but thats just an estimated guess

But what about including hybrid CP?

hybrids? Mike King has thousands of DIFFERENT sarracenia hybrids and cultivars

"Species" will always be a debateable term, based on opinion so there is no real solid answer to this question. It all depends on which guru's you follow.
