One of my vfts somehow has aphids and one other is showing signs of aphids...aka, deformed traps. How does everyone get rid of these little pests? I figure commercial sprays and whatnot are out. soooooo, any help out there?

I had the problem this season. I started dabbing them off with a brush dipped in alcohol, but it was a losing battle. I made a spray of 50/50 alcohol and water and began spraying daily, followed immediately by a good rinse. This resolved the problem and did not harm my plants. Be sure to recheck frequently over a 2 week period since missed eggs can incubate. Also, check ALL your other plants. The aphids prefer new growth points and flower scapes, especially of Utricularia. I have not used the alsohol spray on other genera.
