A flower in a flower

I noticed this in the flower of our hollyhock, it looks like there is a flower inside the flower.  A small one in the big one.  Anyone ever seen anything like this?

So...does that still count as cross pollination?

Looks like it`s just a missed placed petal to me. And yes jason cross polinateing between the same plant is still self polinateing.

iv seen a real flower inside a flower. the big one had red daisy like petels, and the many tiny flowers inside the center also had yellow daisy like petals.
